  20. This is the full version of EGS-TV V4.3, the shareware video software for
  21. EGS graphic boards. To use this as full version you need a keyfile, which
  22. can only be obtained by registering directly by me. Without keyfile
  23. EGS-TV has some restrictions.

  25. What does EGS-TV offer?
  26. -----------------------
  27.  
  28. EGS-TV is a pure EGS program. It offers high/true-color sequence editing
  29. and animation generation for random access sequences on your harddisk
  30. (Professional version only). It can apply amazing trick technics as the
  31. Blue Screen Keying to your pictures and sequences/animations. Did you ever
  32. want to edit an 80MByte animation and delete a frame out of the middle?
  33. No problem with EGS-TV-Professional...
  34.  
  35. All this is done through a font sensitive EGS user interface which runs
  36. on your biggest screens in 24Bit color quality...

  38. * Picture import from many programs (ImageFX, PicoPainter, SpectraPaint)

  91. Requirements
  92. ------------

  94. * Amiga-OS 2.04 or higher
  95.   (OS3.0 or higher is recommended for harddisk recording and also needed
  96.    for DataType support and sequence editing control with the joystick port)

  98. * EGS-System version 6.0 or higher
  99.   EGS System 7.x users can find a window iconification icon in the
  100.   archive (subdirectory EGS-Icons). This can be copied to EGS:EGS-Icons
  101.   and will then be used as iconification icon instead of the default
  102.   icon for all EGS-TV windows.

  104. * Much memory (6MByte Fast-RAM are recommended)
  105.  
  106. Video hardware support
  107. ----------------------
  108.  
  109. * VLab-Framegrabber (classical and Y/C; also as Parallelport versions;
  110.                the VLab-Motion can not be supported as MacroSystem is
  111.              not willing to provide documentation for programmers)
  112.  
  113. * IV24 as Framegrabber
  114.  
  115. * Cameron/Reisware handy scanner (no real Video hardware, but they
  116.   can be used as frame source for greyscale pictures as well)
  117.  
  118. * ... (more support is planned)

  120. EGS-TV can also be used without a framegrabber as stand alone video program
  121. (animation/sequence generation) by import and load functions.

  123. Registering
  124. -----------
  125.  
  126. The registration fee for EGS-TV Professional is currently 30US$ for users
  127. outside of europe and 40DM for users in europe (see registration form for
  128. other possible currencies). Alternatively you can still register the clas-
  129. sical version of EGS-TV (20US$ or 25DM) (see documentation for differences).
  130.  
  131. English and german versions available. An extensive documentation (more
  132. than 100kByte) is included in Amiga-Guide format.
  133.  
  134. Free updates are normally available due to the keyfile concept.
  135.  
  136. A registrationform is included in the archiv (please print it with 12CPI
  137. and a left margin of 10).
  138.  
  139. Separate player program
  140. -----------------------
  141.  
  142. A separate player program for EGS-TV sequences is now available.
  143. It plays sequences direct from harddrive and is independent of special
  144. video hard- or software (but it needs the EGS system as well).
  145. You can find EGS-TV-Player in a separate archiv named "egstvplayerxx.lha"
  146. where xx is the version number.
  147.  
  148. Disclaimer
  149. ----------

  151. I tried my best to make this program error-free. It has been checked
  152. with enforcer and mungwall and works without problems on my configuration.
  153. Nevertheless, as there are so many possible configurations of Amigas,
  154. EGS-Systems, framegrabbers, I can not guarantee that this software
  155. will work on your configuration. Especially the complex EGS-System
  156. does not have the desired stability in some situations. In cases
  157. where I found problems with EGS, I tried to workaround them, or
  158. explained them in this document.

  161. comes with no warranty, either expressed or implied.
  162. The author is in no way responsible for any damage or loss that may
  163. occur due to direct or indirect usage of this software. You use
  164. this software entirely at your own risk.

  177. The demo version of EGS-TV may be freely distributed and used as long
  178. as the following conditions are met:
  179.  
  180. 1) All files have to be kept together
  181.  
  182. 2) No file may be modified or crunched/packed.
  183.  
  184.    The only official way to distribute EGS-TV demo packed is the original
  185.    egstv.lha or egstv.lzh-archive.
  186.  
  187.    EGS-TV may not be disassembled or analysed. The limitations integrated
  188.    in the demo version may under no circumstance be removed or bypassed.
  189.  
  190. 3) Distributors may only charge for the duplication process (including media)
  191.    and not for the software. Theese charges may not exceed the following
  192.    limits: a) EGS-TV demo on a PD-disk: 8$ (US-dollar) including
  193.               postage&packing (in Germany: 12DM)
  194.        b) EGS-TV demo on a PD-CD-ROM: 50$ (US-dollar) including
  195.               postage&packing (in Germany: 75DM)
  196.        c) EGS-TV demo on a BBS/Mailbox/ftp-site or other electronically
  197.               callable system: Maximum charge 4$ (US-dollar) (in Germany: 6DM)
  198.               for downloading
  199.    Anyway, it must be made explictly clear to the buyer, that he does not
  200.    pay for the program (demo) itself but only for the duplication service.

  202. 4) It is not allowed to distribute EGS-TV with any commercial product without
  203.    a written permission by me. One exception is the distribution of the demo
  204.    version with products, not exceeding the above price limits (e.g. a cover-
  205.    disk magazine for 8$ or less).

  207.    The following companies have my explicit permission to distribute the
  208.    EGS-TV demo with their products: NOVA Design, Ingenieurbüro Helfrich,
  209.    Macrosystem

  211.    If you want to distribute EGS-TV demo with your commercial product
  212.    (hardware or software) write to me for details.

  214.    If you want your software or hardware product to be capable of working
  215.    directly with EGS-TV you can also contact me (address as above).

  217. 5) The registered version may not be redistributed. It may only run on one
  218.    machine per registration. It is allowed to make a backup copy of the
  219.    original disk.
